The mortgage process
During the transaction, we will act for both yourself and the mortgage lender and keep you advised as to the likely timescale for completion. As the new mortgage lender will have no previous understanding of the property, it will be necessary to submit certain searches on the lender’s behalf and to ask that you assist in completing a form providing basic information about the property. Whilst waiting for such searches, we can however be arranging for you to sign the Mortgage Deed and supporting documentation, which will help to achieve an early completion.
Where you have an existing mortgage lender, we will redeem their charge on completion and arrange for any surplus monies to be sent to you by your preferred method of payment.
We are also able to offer assistance to this re-mortgaging or obtaining a further advance, with a view to repaying Help to Buy Equity Loans and the like [whether in part or in full]. Having experience as to the intricacies of those documents required by the Homes & Communities Agency means that we are able to complete such transactions with the minimum of fuss.
