Josh Gilbert

Josh acts across a broad range of commercial property, agricultural property and residential property transactions.

He looks after transactional work and general property interests for private clients and their businesses including for landowners, family business owners, farmers and property developers.

Josh deals with all aspects of commercial property work including acquisitions and disposals, leases, finance, development, estate management and large real estate projects.

Josh has extensive experience in dealing with rural property including farms & estates, country houses and agricultural tenancies.

He also deals with hospitality and leisure sector transactions including hotels and public houses.

Josh enjoys making sure that his clients receive the best strategic advice for their particular situation and that their property transactions are run as efficiently as possible. He strives to be highly responsive to the specific needs and concerns of clients.

He is described by clients as “having a calm, practical manner” as well as being “proactive, solution oriented, easy to deal with and always representing our interests”.

Josh studied Law at Oxford with a year abroad studying French Law at Paris II Panthéon-Assas. He qualified from the University of Law in 2013 at Bristol with a distinction.

Josh went on to spend five years working in Bristol where he completed his training and then qualified to work with an agricultural property team.

Josh then worked in Bath for a further four years where he deepened his experience in general commercial property and residential property.

Away from work, Josh spends time with his family. He likes to be outside as much as possible whether walking or camping on the moor or kite-surfing at one of Devon’s amazing beaches.
