For the past year, Tozers have been fundraising for Age UK Exeter by various means – including a sponsored walk in the Lake District, a Family Fun Day, baking competitions, a very popular office tuck shop and Christmas hampers.
On Monday 27th January 2020, a cheque for £8,205.11 was passed from Tozers to Age UK Exeter. Jacqui Cornish, Fundraising Manager and Martyn Rogers, Chief Executive collected the cheque on behalf of the charity.
Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Tozers, Endurance Arthur comments “We have loved working with Age UK Exeter across the year. It is fantastic to know that the money that the firm has raised will be helping vulnerable and lonely people in the city who, without the charity, wouldn’t get the support they need. That has been really encouraging for us and we’d like to wish Age UK Exeter all the best as they continue doing this much needed work.”
On receiving the cheque, Martyn Rogers said: “Age UK Exeter is thrilled to receive the fantastic sum of £8,205 from Tozers Solicitors as their Charity of the Year. We have been so impressed by their amazing effort on our behalf and their donation will help us make a huge difference to the lives of isolated older people in the city as well as individuals and couples living with dementia.”
At Tozers we believe that our firm should be a force for good in the communities we work in and for the clients we work with. Each year we choose a Charity of the Year, engaging with them to raise funds and support them in as many creative and fun ways as we can. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the announcement of our chosen charity for 2020!
