Since Monday 29th March colleagues across the firm have taken up the challenge to get more active, improve fitness and wellbeing, and raise money for charity ahead of the summer months.
With a target of at least 5,000 steps a day, or 3km, for a total of 50 days, participants were encouraged to increase on their current level of activity.
The uptake was great to see, with colleagues across the firm getting involved, taking up the challenge, to improve their daily activity, raise money for charity and connect with others across the firm who have been working remotely. Some colleagues managed 20,000 steps a day consistently, an amazing feat, given that they also work full time. We are proud of all who took part, especially those who are less mobile and have undertaken the challenge nonetheless.
Participants were asked to self-sponsor to raise money for our two charities of the year, Hospiscare and Rowcroft Hospice, with a fundraising page also being set up to allow colleagues to sponsor each other. The firm also agreed to pay 50p per day per participant to give added encouragement and support to both participants and the charities.
With the challenge now coming to an end we hope those that got involved have felt an improvement to their fitness and wellbeing, and the firm is proud of their involvement.
