We are proud to support the Erb’s Palsy Group (EPG) in their focused campaign this week to raise awareness about the condition of Erb’s Palsy – also known as brachial plexus palsy.
Erb’s Palsy is a disability which results from an injury to the brachial plexus (a network of nerves) which can happen to a baby during birth. Please read our common FAQ’s here which explain more about the condition.
We’ve worked closely with the EPG since they began in the 1990s as a support group for families. The EPG is now a Charitable Incorporated Organisation with over 2,500 families registered. The group strives to reduce incidence rates through education and training of the medical profession but also to promote better treatment, by early referral to specialist centres. The EPG also do invaluable work supporting those affected by Erb’s Palsy in variety of ways, guidance in accessing specialist medical and therapeutic treatment, support to manage the physical and psychological effects of condition and importantly providing a community where individuals can meet, share experiences and support one another.
In our continued support of the Erb’s Palsy Group and to raise awareness of Erb’s Palsy during this important week we will be releasing a series of posts and videos, which will provide information about the condition and its impact and details of some of our awareness and fundraising activities.
We are the leading team in the country for Erb’s Palsy compensation claims, having conducted well in excess of 300 claims over the last 30 years.
