Anti-social behaviour

With over 25 years’ experience our specialist team is well equipped in assisting RSLs to manage a wide range of anti-social behaviour including; violence, abusive language, drug related activities, harassment, noise nuisance and much more.

Our team will work with you and provide straightforward practical advice from the outset and, where necessary, commence and manage Court proceedings.

Methods of Managing Anti-Social Behaviour

We understand the importance of early intervention when it comes to anti-social behaviour.

We will help RSLs consider practical steps that can be taken to reduce or manage the anti-social behaviour being complained of. Steps might include drafting acceptable behaviour contracts and warning letters and helping to arrange, or attending on your behalf, multi-agency meetings, considering other reasonable steps that could be taken where the perpetrator has a disability that may be the cause of the anti-social behaviour.

Resolving anti-social behaviour at an early stage is our priority, but if it cannot be resolved, or is significantly serious, we can guide you on the next steps including serving formal notices and as a very last resort, Court proceedings.

Court Proceedings

Our team regularly appears in County Courts all over the country. We offer a complete service to take your case from the first hearing through to Trial.

We are adept at obtaining Injunctions which often deal with the anti-social behaviour. We have had notable success in obtaining these against persons unknown in county line drug dealing cases, essentially placing a partial closure order on the property for several months. Our last injunction on this basis was granted for a period of 12 months.

We can quickly respond to emergency situations, and with our local Court only a stone’s throw from the Office we are often able to obtain Injunctions within hours of receiving an instruction.

Where the Injunction is not successful or the behaviour is so serious the only realistic option is possession. We will guide you and your Housing Officers through the process.

We also conduct our own enforcement action and can appear at short notice to carry our committal proceedings, frequently resulting in sending the perpetrator to prison.
