Our busy Private Family Team requires a Paralegal to work full or part time (depending on the right candidate).  The work is fast paced and client focused dealing with divorce and separation, which includes but not limited to situations affecting finances and pensions and issues concerning children.

What you’ll be doing

Primarily supporting and assisting the lawyers in the team in managing their caseloads, preparing documents including bundles, attending Court, file administration as well as audio and copy typing. You will also deal with new and existing client enquiries by telephone and email and work with the team to provide appropriate support where required.

What we’re looking for

You will be confident in communicating with our clients and, under our lawyers’ direction, will ensure that clients have the information they need if our lawyers are engaged elsewhere. We are looking for somebody with strong organisation skills and good attention to detail.

You will have excellent IT skills and be familiar with using software for creating bundles of documents and ideally have used SOS or similar case management software.  It will be an advantage if you also have experience of private family work.

What you’ll have

You will have practical experience of working in a legal role, with ambitions to develop your legal skills in a leading team.  You will have a ‘can-do’ attitude and will be happy to adapt to the requirements of the tasks facing you.  Ideally you will be able to demonstrate your ability to work closely with team members with the aim of achieving a common goal.
